Why ouroboros? The ouroboros is an ancient symbol of a dragon or serpent biting its tail. It can reflect the cyclical nature of life, the idea that history often repeats itself. It was also used in medieval Europe to represent something akin to the Eastern idea of karma, what goes around comes around, or in biblical terms, you reap what you sow.
The ouroboros reflects my basic philosophy of life in general and education in particular. Whether one is talking about human relationships or scholarship, the benefits you receive are directly proportional to the effort you put in.
